New Global Rapid Risk Products
Two new global flood impact products are available from 5th November 2019 on the GloFAS platform:
- Rapid Impact Assessment showing the potential impact of forecasted flood events on the population and land use,summarised at the second administration unit level. The shading of each administration unit reflects an impact matrix based on the forecast lead time and the affected population.
- Rapid Flood Mapping which shows the estimated flood inundation footprint for a given forecasted flood magnitude. The inundation data are derived from a static library and are not calculated dynamically.
